Exploring Niche Ideas For Profitability

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Developing niche ideas is encouraged when marketing on the internet since selecting the right niche can prove to be lucrative. In fact it is common for many online marketers to always be exploring new niche markets in order to spread their risks and increase their income. With that said developing multiple niche markets gives you the opportunity to create multiple streams of income while decreasing the amount of competition you face.

Here are 3 relatively simple and quick ways to determine if your niche is a good fit for you and has the income potential you want.

Develop Ideas

It is suggested to do a little brainstorming and list out all the things you may have an interest in to help you develop ideas for your niche. Your selection ideally but not necessarily will be based upon something you have a passion for. Marketing on the internet involves lots of time and effort but if you are passionate about what you do it will make everything easier.

Infiltrate Your Target Market

Once you have selected your niche seek out locations online such as forums or perhaps social sites to intermingle with prospective customers you are targeting. Find out what is on their mind and determine their most pressing ‘wants’ or ‘problems’ relative to any niche markets you may be exploring. It will be at this point where you will begin to determine what type product or service should be found or developed for your marketing purposes. Only by listening to your (potential) customer base will you begin to understand their needs.

Check for Demand and Profitability

Now that you have ‘narrowed’ down product type(s) that can or should be offered for your niche selection it is time to determine profitability. Using online search engines and a reliable keyword tool you can now begin your keyword research.

First develop a keyword list that is relevant to your product ideas and niche. Without making this complicated simply because it really is not you want to first check for demand. This is determined by the number of searches a particular word generates monthly and can be found by using a keyword research tool.

Doing your keyword research I suggest using the free Google keyword tool for now since it will suffice for what you are doing here.

After determining the strength of demand for your keywords do an internet search using the same keywords. Examine your search results and pay close attention to the number of ‘paid’ ads that show up which will be found on the right hand side of your search results page. Simply stated if people are willing to pay for advertising the market is probably profitable.

Bingo you have now found your niche!

Being able to develop new niche ideas is a great way to diversify your income opportunities when marketing on the internet. Exploring niche markets for their income potential is an important first step however before investing your full time marketing efforts. The 3 ways we spoke of here today to help you determine if your niche selection will benefit you or your business are quick and simple. The more you conduct this type research the more efficient you will become at making better informed business decisions.

Get Your Marketing Mojo Working For You

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Having worked with thousands of creative women entrepreneurs over the years, I see the common trend: you fall into the “safe marketing” place. Doing what everyone else is doing, using the same descriptor words, offering the same types of products and programs…and then wondering why your marketing efforts aren’t paying off with client interest and joint venture opportunities.

Turn your marketing around with these three Marketing Mojo perspectives.

1. What is your Movement? People don’t want to be marketed “to” or “at” anymore. Their days are too busy – they want to be moved. They want stories, passions, reasons to take action. They want hope and solutions presented to them that will change their routines and better their worlds in some way – whether it’s because they’ll change their habits, they’ll heal, they’ll laugh, they’ll be entertained, or they’ll achieve their dreams.

You have to step into your confidence about your passion and create more than a marketing strategy. Create marketing that moves people. They want to work with you or make a purchase from you because they are so engaged, your message is so compelling. They will read your ad or sales page, and they won’t be able to stop thinking about it – or talking about it.

Your movement comes from your own passion – either what has brought you pain or what brings you joy. A mother on my tennis team couldn’t find bottles and sippy cups that were “plastic safe,” so she created them herself. She is passionate about it, knowing that other moms are looking for these too. She is daring to put her passion into a product and sharing it with others too.

2. Give Them A Reason To Care. The world has changed and is continuing to move fast. In our information-drenched world, you have to capture your potential customers’ attention and give them a reason to read what you’ve written, to listen to your teleclass (one of hundreds that is sitting in their inbox) or your pre-recorded audio (where they had good intentions when they signed up, but now they’ve forgotten why they want to take the time to listen – not to mention it’s gotten buried down the list of emails in their inbox), or take the time to watch yet another video on YouTube.

The world wants to hear messages that resonate with authenticity and integrity. Dare to step up and speak your truth about your passionate area of expertise and call people forward to take action on what really matters to them.

3. Find Your Authentic Marketing Style. Let’s face it, not every one is cut out to be Oprah. Having a successful business isn’t about being someone else. The real secret is to know yourself and use that for maximum impact in your marketing. If you are an amazing writer, then ezines and blogging are perfect for you. If you have a great voice, then try audios, an Internet radio show, or a podcast to get your movement out into the world. If you look appealing on camera and communicate well visually, then let your message loose in video. Don’t try to do what doesn’t come naturally to you…lean into your Authentic Marketing Style. People will love it! When they love it, they’ll pay attention. They’ll be moved to share it. And they’ll be moved to buy what you are offering.

Your Work:

Dare to let loose your passion. Create a movement. Go deep. Be truthful. Speak from your heart. Focus on the marketing vehicle that feels right to you and do it well….so well that people talk about it!

Using Autoresponders to Build a Massive MLM List

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Have you ever wondered how to build a massive MLM business using autoresponders. It can be a very difficult task if you don’t know where to start but by applying this simple list building technique you can have thousands of people reading your emails every day.

This is very simple so don’t get too frustrated if it does not work right away. This is a numbers game so the more people you add to your list the more people you will begin to add to your list, so let’s begin…

Autoresponder #1

This autoresponder needs to be an open mailing website, or a service that allows you to import a list into it. FireReply.com would be a good example of this type of service. The first thing you need to do is purchase high quality leads and import them into this autoresponder.

From there create some good copy to get them to visit your landing page and opt in. Or they can email your second autoresponder on opt in that way. This is the first step, you want the people who are serious about getting your help to contact you.

Autoresponder #2

Set up a second autoresponder with one that requires people to double opt in like Aweber. From here the people from your first autopresonder are going to opt in or send an email to this autoresponder which double opts them into it. This will allow you to build a massive list at a very low cost. And this list you are building with Aweber will be a targeted list of motivated people.

From here you can build a relationship and begin serving your list. By serving others you will in turn be served as well.
