If you are a new or established Online Business looking for Internet Marketing tips we’ll give you a few here. You may or may not like what you hear, but we’ll lay out the truth for you and let you decide if it’s right for you or not.

1.) Free Webinars – Consider getting a free yahoo email address that you would use for junk mail. Then signup on lots of Internet Marketing lists and attend as many free Internet Marketing Webinars as you can. Almost all of them give out some free valuable information that can help you or guide you without you being obligated to purchase anything from them. Most don’t ask for a phone number, but if they do you can put a fake one in there. If you put your real phone number in there you need to be aware of the fact that you may get a phone call.

I’ve gotten a ton of free information on Internet Marketing just by joining free webinars, especially in Niche Marketing. You can learn enough on these free webinars to start creating your own Niche Sites. Marketers like Brian Johnson and Joel Peterson offer a lot of free webinars, and you never have to buy anything and still get good information.

2.) Download Some Free Quality Ebooks – Many of the gurus offer free ebooks that you can download just for signing up on their list. If the ebook being offered is free and is geared toward the area you want to learn more about or specialize in, considering downloading it since its free. Once again most won’t ask for your phone number, and never give it out unless you really want their sales department to call you.

3.) Take Some Action – The only way you can fail in Internet Marketing is to do nothing. If you do something you’ll get some results. It may not the the level of results you are looking for at first, but you will get some results of you take action. When people ask me the best way to take action I always tell people to start building a blog.

4.) There are quite a few products you can purchase on the internet and get free lifetime upgrades. There are also quite a few Internet Marketing Products you can purchase that will continue to deliver new content to you for years. This means you only have to pay once for the original course or content and you’ll have the ability to keep learning more and more for a very long time.

Hardware Store Mentality

Men love hardware stores and work at home dads get that. When we take on a project we generally know whether we’ve got the tools necessary to do the job. If we don’t have them we ask a neighbor, if they don’t have what we need we’re off to the hardware store.

Somewhere between our home and the store the mental shift between what we need and what we want kicks in.

Going to the hardware store can be an educational experience for marketing professionals. We know they’ve got what we need there, but they also have what we want.

Every single product we ever consider marketing has a specific appeal to a very well defined niche. Even products that are beneficial to everyone fall into this category. Not everyone wants, nor will they typically buy something they actually need.

Looking back over the years I can identify people who never developed a desire for things that our family would be hard pressed to live without. Want has always been a more powerful motivation in marketing. This is why selling went out of style long ago.

If you try to interest someone in what they need a trigger goes off in their mind telling them you’re trying to sell something. On the other hand if you have what someone wants they generally just need to know the price.

Inherent Value

Work at home dads have access to multiple income streams for two very important reasons:
1.    There are many small niches and products for every one of them.
2.    Affiliations generate more income than individual business owners.

We understand that our work in marketing demands that we prepare and present specific answers to specific wants. Niche marketing implies that although people may have an interest in several areas, they don’t want the whole store.

Nothing has value unless it’s desired. In fact the desire for a product or service precedes design and invention. Demand is the horse before the cart of supply.

One Big Happy Community

Many home business owners share common cross over areas with other entrepreneurs. The practice of affiliate marketing has essentially tied together a wide network of moms and dads that work at home.

How To Gain Customers For Your Business

So you got your business set up and started. The next step now is to find your target clients and get them to purchase your product or avail of your service.

Here are some tips on how you can gain customers to start rolling in the profits for your business.

Always be ready.

This is especially crucial every time you meet with a prospective client. Preparing yourself before a meeting is the best means for you to put your best foot forward to your target clients.

This means knowing full well the kind of product or service you have, and learning as much as you can about your target client – his or her needs and wants. You also need to know who your business competitors are and what they have to offer. This way, you will be able to confidently tell your prospective clients that what you have to offer is unique and distinct from that of your competition.

Do not reinvent the wheel.

Use what works for you now or even in the past. If your poster printing output is how you got people to be curious about you, then go ahead and print posters. Also, look at what the others have learned from their own successes and failures. Talk to other companies that have been in the industry for quite some time and see what ideas you can apply for your own business. Gain some insights into ways to promote your business and get the word out.

Know your target niche.

Find out what your competition has not been able to offer yet in the market and then look for the particular target customers for that niche. With so many products and services similar to what you are offering, it would benefit you more if you can be distinct from the rest. Do not try to be a jack-of-all-trades-and-a-master-of-none in your industry. Focus on a particular niche where you know you will excel and then master it. Once you have done that, then that is the time for you to expand to other niche markets.  

Build a brand for your business.

With niche marketing comes your own personal branding. By becoming an expert on something in your industry, you have more chances of making it. Be the business that you are customers go to every time they need your particular brand. Before you know it, you will be able to build a brand that reflects “expert problem solver” to your clients and prospects.

Market to existing clients.

It is well and good to get new clients for your business; but it is even better to maintain the customers you already have. Not only is it much easier to gain additional profits from them, it is much easier to offer other services, as they already know what you can do. You can also benefit from existing customers when you ask for referrals from them.

Build and maintain relationships.

Finally, do not go marketing to people just so you can make a sale. Aim to have people to buy from you every time they need your particular brand of service or product. People buy from those they like and trust, so when promoting your business, be sure to spend time building relationships rather than making a few bucks. Strong relationships with your clients will be able to give you a steady flow of income, which you can enjoy for a very long time.
