Getting Start With Network Marketing: A General Roadmap
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010Joining an affiliate network is a great way to get started learning to market. If you’ve been looking to get started in making a bit of extra income or even replacing an income completely, don’t put it off anymore. This is a long road and the sooner you get to stepping, the sooner you’ll find success.
Some of the more popular affiliate networks will send you some training emails and even whole courses to help you market their wares. What a great deal for them to have you working for them to make both of you money- they’ll even send you samples in some cases so you can have a real look at the product.
Of course, you’ll need to learn about market and keyword research but that’s another article altogether. Deciding what you’d like to promote is the first step you’ll need to think about.
There are information products and physical products, in the broadest sense. Information products, sometimes called digital products, are usually downloaded and might include something like an ebook on how to train a dog. Physical products are just about anything you can physically touch, like a lamp.
Once you’ve decided what to promote and have joined an affiliate network, it’s time to figure out what product you want to promote and how. You’ll need to learn and master keyword research in order to figure out what people are looking for online. This can be done with free tools, but eventually you’ll want a program like Market Samurai to help you figure out all the data you’ll need to interpret in a reasonable amount of time.
There are paid and free methods of promoting your products, but if you’re a newbie you’re best off with free methods until you have more cash to experiment with. You really need to be a prolific writer or hire someone to write for you. Begin writing articles and submitting them to article directories such as here on Ezinearticles.com and see how people react to your articles.
Making adjustments to your writing will help you to be more in touch with the people you’re writing for and will prepare you for writing copy that will have people interested in buying from your offer.
When you’re comfortable writing copy, begin using free website services such as those on Blogger.com in order to have a place to direct your readers to your offer. When you’re ready to dabble a bit more in website creation, you will need to research domains and find hosting.
There are some very reasonable and user friendly services common in marketing that will allow you to host unlimited domains when you are ready.
