How To Increase Your Conversion Rate In Email Marketing

Friday, February 26th, 2010

There is a reason behind each human action, and motivation is an important factor that drives people to make a decision. Learning how to tap motivation to affect online decision-making is the goal of email marketing. When a web visitor buys or fills up a form in your email list, you increase your conversion rate. Conversion rate is the percentage of people ending up performing your desired online activity. The ultimate goal of email marketing is to increase the conversion rates of web visitors.

Most companies have only 0.5% conversion rates. The figure is too small considering the total number of visitors a website has. In order to increase the rate to up to 5%, good email marketing is vital.

Most buyers purchase from a credible website. To gain the trust of costumers, practice adding a physical address to your website. Include a contact number where costumers can reach you. Visitors who value their privacy look for your private policy. Including your policies in obtaining their pertinent information and keeping their data confidential will encourage them to give in to your marketing strategies. Transparent terms and conditions about their activities is also a way to attract conversion rates. In other instances, a third party accreditation is important. This outside agency will vouch to the veracity of your products and services.

Merchandise competitiveness is also a way to increase your conversion rate. Clarify the product description; ensure price competitiveness and product relevancy. Research on the in demand products and price match with the top competitor. If it is not possible to deliver the product for free, make sure that the shipping cost is minimal. Costly shipping causes dismay to many customers.

The visitor’s online experience with your web also matters. Use a page analyzer to determine the speed of your website loading. Check the compatibility of your site with multiple browsers used by your visitors. If you are experiencing error pages, fix them immediately. Ensure that you also include a definite call to action, like “add to cart” or “call us now”, to encourage an action from your visitors.

Lastly, analyze your site’s check out process. Make the process simple as possible. Long and complicated check out processes will draw your visitor’s away. Offer other alternative checkout gateways. Some customers prefer to pay using pay pal or Google check out rather than revealing their own credit card number.

Trying these simple yet realistic email-marketing strategies will increase your conversion rates. Giving your web visitors the best deal on your product or services will definitely make all your marketing techniques worthy.

SEO Tips for Beginners – Where to Start

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

You’ve landed on this article and I assume you’re interested in internet marketing, namely search engine optimization (SEO). Congratulations! Hopefully this topic will change your life as it has for me. SEO and internet marketing in general have been my passion for over 10 years and, as the world becomes more e-centric, the internet is becoming more important by the day. For this reason, now is the time to become familiar with SEO, even if it’s on a very basic level.

Learning the basics of SEO is truly imperative. SEO applies to all forms of internet marketing whether it be blogs, viral videos or website design. Understanding the basics of SEO will ensure a solid foundation is established and knowledge/research can be built from that point forward. Like anything else one learns, it takes time. Lots and lots of time.

The 3 most important tips for SEO beginners are:

1) Optimize Website Meta Information

Be sure to optimize meta information on every page of your website to ensure it’s relevant and targeted. Every page (e.g. product page, blog post, etc.) has a meta title, meta descriptions and meta keywords. The meta information is what the search engines “crawl” and display in their results, also known as search engine result pages (SERPS).

2) Provide Relevant Content

Believe it or not, SEO itself is almost useless without relevant, interesting, targeted, unique content. If you’re not a good writer, now is the time to break out your old, dusty English books and do a little refresh. Or, what many companies do is simply hire an individual or company to create keyword-rich, targeted content. Keep in mind content for each page should match the meta title, meta description and meta keywords.

3) Research

Researching keyword placement, the amount of searches keywords receive per month, competitor websites, and other factors is very important. Failing to research key information will leave you in the dark — not a good place to be.

I hope the above information has been helpful. Be sure to check back often for new articles on internet marketing, search engine optimization, web design, photography and a host of other fun topics.

Sincerely,

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Most business companies  tremble  with fear at mention of competition. It is the most feared word.Competition drives all business to create logo design branding and do intense marketing and advertising. It is dream of every business to overtake its competition and create a niche for its services and products.

Logo Design New Zealand give 9 tips to fight competition in a effective way.

  1. Your competitors are as afraid of you as you are of them. This is the biggest factor to be remembered .Never panic and handle your competition in a sensible reasonable way with organized scheduled planning.
  2. The competition’s articles, websites, and marketing materials  can help to educate your clients so that they come to you with enough knowledge to make an informed decision. You can even take inspiration from their well written presentations to enhance your marketing.
  3. A healthy rivalry can generate a lot of interest in the  product and services concerned.Competition between your business and other businesses can generate publicity for your service or product offering, which can generate more perceived need or desire  for the things that you offer.
  4. Competition can be effectively combated by emphasis on different and exclusive features of the business product or services. By stating how you’re different from a competitor who is widely known, you can often more easily express your differentiation.
  5. Your competitors are not just the other businesses that provide similar products or services to yours. Your competition also includes the other things that your customer could purchase to solve their problem, even things that aren’t in your immediate field.
  6. Your competitors are not just the other businesses that provide similar products or services to yours. Your competition also includes the other things that your customer could purchase to solve their problem, even things that aren’t in your immediate field. Look for alternative solutions that might give your clients extra options and value added services.
  7. Never ignore small or startup business as insignificant.Closely follow the path of your competitors big or small Big businesses aren’t your only competition. Be sure to think about the smaller businesses that offer similar products or services—sometimes they can grow into major players or eat into your market.
  8. Highlight how your customers can enhance and gain financially from your products and services more than you competitors. This is a sure fire way to snatch clients from customers.
  9. Inaction, indecision, and postponement are other often-overlooked competitors. What happens if a client decides not to undertake the project or make the purchase? This can be worse than any competitors so learning to close a sale is very important using marketing skills
